In the years since Alexandra founded Ecoscapes she has worked on a very broad spectrum of projects for private, civic and commercial clients. Ecoscapes have designed residential and commercial gardens for clients in many different environments from dry Langata to high rainfall Kiambu and humid costal areas. We work closely with our clients to ensure that their every wish is met.
Alex has an undergraduate degree in Horticulture (BSC Honours) from Reading University, England and a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, USA.
Alex is currently the CEO of Ecoscapes Kenya Ltd which has superseded her role as sole proprietor of Ecoscapes, a full service landscape architectural practice in Nairobi, which she founded in 1996. Prior to 1996, Alex worked for Pickering Firm Inc in Atlanta, Georgia, USA as a landscape architect.
The over-riding philosophy employed in Ecoscapes’ designs is creating sustainable, minimal impact designs utilizing local materials where possible. We are committed to providing our clientele with the highest level of service possible.
Latterly, Ecoscapes has been commissioned by clients from the outset of a project to perform the master planning, progressing through site planning, grading and drainage, planting and hardscape design detailing and finally the site supervision.
ECOCAPES is a full service landscape architecture practice based in Nairobi, Kenya to serve clientele throughout East Africa and beyond. We are committed to providing our clientele with the highest level of service possible, offering sound, innovative design solutions, on time and within budget.
